Jason Levermore - PGA Professional Golfer - HEAD PROFESSIONAL AT CHANNELS

  • 1st  National PGA Capt\Pro Challenge in Turkey 2014
  • 2nd National PGA Club Professional championship in Scotland 2014
  • 2nd National Titleist PGA Playoffs in Turkey 2014
  • Played in the European tour BMW Championship’s 2003/2005/2011/2013/2014/2015
  • Winner of 8 East of England Order of Merit Events
  • Won over 150 professional competitions
  • Representing England in the International Team Championships in Turkey 2014
  • Representing GB&I in the PGA Cup against the USA in California in 2015

Jason turned Professional in 1999 at the age of 20 and completed his PGA Training at Clacton golf club under his father Stuart Levermore.

Jason has been playing full time golf for the last 10 years where he has competed in events around the world as well as on the European tour/Challenge tour/Europrotour as well as many other smaller Golf tours, with some of his best performances coming in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth which he played for a fifth time this year.

Jason took on the Head Professional's role at Channels in May 2013 where he runs the Pro shop and coaches, whilst continuing to represent Channels in local and national PGA tournaments.


 

Paul Bate – PGA Professional Coach - PROFESSIONAL AT CHANNELS

Paul turned Professional in 1996 and did his PGA training at Woodbridge Golf Club in Suffolk. Once qualified, Paul soon found that coaching was his main passion, and joined Brett vale golf club in 2001 to become a full time coach.

Paul has coached or coaches players of all standards including beginners, club golfers, international and county players and also fellow Professionals.

His style of coaching is very simple and versatile, believing that there are many ways to play golf, although some key ingredients are essential to achieving consistency.

Sports psychology is also a large part of Paul's coaching and you will be sure to understand your all round game far better having had a lesson with him.

Jack Cole, PGA Head Professional at Little Channels golf, turned Professional in 2009 after completing the three year PGA foundation degree for which he was assistant of the year on two occasions (in 2010 and 2012). For the last five years Jack has focused on coaching and has gone from strength to strength.  He has grown his own client base which sees him coach golfers of all ages and abilities from beginners, club golfers and aspiring young juniors.

He is a director and lead coach of the very successful and ever growing ‘School of golf’ junior coaching programme, and also runs half term/ festive camps.  In addition to this, Jack is a county coach for the Essex Golf Union (under 12 development squad) and leads a schools coaching programme providing top coaching to over fifteen primary and secondary schools each term.

Of his work as an Essex county coach, Jack says:

“I became a county coach in 2012 which I believe makes me the youngest ever county coach. I am privileged to hold this position and help develop some of the county’s leading youngsters. This is the highlight of my career to date”

Further to his successful running of junior coaching programmes, Jack also provides coaching to MENCAP UK a disabled charity organisation. This has been a great success and has led to England golf conducting a written case study to serve as a blueprint for other coaches/ clubs to use as reference in the future.

Jack is not stopping there however – he prides himself on the fact that he is always learning and continually striving to become a better instructor.

Matthew Mahoney - PGA Golf Coach - HEAD PROFESSIONAL AT LITTLE CHANNELS

Matthew Mahoney is one of our Head Professionals based at Little Channels, where he joined in 2010. Matthew started his training immediately and has since completed the three-year PGA Foundation Degree making him a recognised fully qualified PGA Golf Professional. Matthew has worked hard to develop as a coach and has a client base that is going from strength to strength. Matthew endeavours to help coach everyone no matter which level they are - from beginners, to intermediates to aspiring golf Professionals.

 

Matthew has been involved with setting up and running a successful junior program. The program called “The School Of Golf” gives all juniors the chance to not only try golf, but to become the best golfer they wish to become. “The School Of Golf” is a developing academy and Matthew is proud to be a part of running and coaching within the project. Furthermore, Matthew teaches within many Primary and Secondary schools each week and conducts holiday camps for the juniors to participate in.

Matthew is always keen to keep growing the game of golf and to introduce as many people as possible to the great game. Matthew’s coaching is very important to him and he wishes to keep developing his own knowledge and progressing as a golf coach.
